Combining my passion for abstract art with the sketches of daily life, I found a place of comfort. The emotionally charged release that the Abstract Expressionists believed was the inner, subconscious, aesthetic is integral to the explosive colors palette and heavy paint applications found in these works.
Yet, because they are rooted in quick sketches, I find that they are more expressive representations, rather than abstract expressions.
These paintings were completed in 2018.
