"I am a painter of ideas, in as much as I am a painter of things. I don't analyze my process, rather, I analyze the results of my efforts."

A Southern California native, Jason currently lives and works in the State's Capitol, Sacramento with his wife, Evelin and daughter, Daphne.

Jason's passions for public service and entrepreneurship guided his early professional decisions. In 2000 he co-founded a biotechnology research company and went to work in the Governor's Office of Communication. Two-years later, he worked on a statewide political campaign for the California Governorship. In 2009, he earned his Bachelors from the University of California at Davis, in International Relations.

In 2003, while still pursuing opportunities related to politics and government, Jason began to explore his passion for the arts. Within two years, he was exhibiting his first major work at a prominent Sacramento restaurant and beginning his first commission. After nine years as a working artist, Jason decided to formalize his artistic training and applied to the MFA program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. In 2018, Jason earned his MFA in Fine Arts, Painting and Drawing.

Jason's current body of work comes directly from his MFA Thesis Project, Adaptation: Conscious Control of the Subconscious Aesthetic
